Rotary Club Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Henderson is offering three $2500 scholarships for students who attend high school in Vance County.  Student applications will be judged on an essay and applicaitons are due to the counselor by Thursday, April 28th.  Please see the counselor for more information. 


GHS Foundation Scholarship

The Granville Health System Foundation is accepting applications for their 2022 Sam Perry Memorial Scholarship.  This is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a Granville County resident who has been accepted into a 2yr or 4 yr allied health program at an accredited school and who intends to pursue a career in the allied health care field.  Applications can be found in the counselor's office or online at http://www.ghsfoundation.org/sam_perry_scholarship.aspx. These need to be completed and mailed no later than Wednesday, April 27th.  Please see the counselor for more information. 


TNHF Scholarship

Triangle North Healthcare Foundation is awarding a $10,000 scholarship to one individual in each of the four counties (Franklin, Granville, Vance & Warren) who plans to attend a two year or four year college/university.  Preference will be given to those who plan to major in a health-related field.  Minimum requirement of 2.5 unweighted GPA. Applications can be found at http://www.tnhfoundation.org/high-school-scholarship.html and are due to the VCS counselor’s office by 3pm on Friday, March 11.


Criminal Justice Fellows Program

The Criminal Justice Fellows Program will fund fellowships for high school senior graduates who have exhibited high academic achievement, a history of service to the school and community, and a desire to serve the state of North Carolina in a field within the criminal justice profession.

The N.C. Criminal Justice Fellows Program will provide forgivable educational loans for high school seniors and graduates who agree to enter a criminal justice profession in North Carolina. This fellowship will fund an Applied Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or Committee approved related field of study, from any North Carolina Community College. Students who receive the educational loan would have 5 years to repay, though it would be forgiven if they enter and remain in a criminal justice profession with North Carolina for four years in an eligible county.

CAGC Scholarship Program

The CAGC Foundation is currently accepting applications for its scholarship program, which was developed to assist those choosing to enter the commercial construction industry as well as those wishing to advance their skills and/or knowledge in an effort to further their commercial construction careers.

Scholarships Offered:

  1. University/4 Year College Scholarship
  2. Technical/Trade School Scholarship 
  3. Industry Certification/Advancement

Class of 2023 Juniors

The Junior / Rising Senior Registration Meeting will be held on Monday, February 28th at either 8:30am or 2:00pm.  Students should plan to attend one of those meetings.  The format for registration will be reviewed as well as protocol for meeting with the counselor and course recommendations for parents. 

Registration forms are due to the counselor by Friday, March 4. Individual meetings will take place with the counselor the week of March 7th. Please see the counselor if you have any questions.

The Sophomore/Rising Junior Registration Meeting will be held on March 7 at 8:30am.  This mandatory meeting will cover registration format as well as protocol for meeting with the counselor and sending course recommendations to parents.  

Registration forms are to be submitted by Friday, March 11. Individual meetings will take place with the counselor the week of March 15. Please see the counselor if you have any questions.
