A Statement from the Vance Charter School Board Chairman
April 23, 2017
We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Spring Break. As most of you are aware, a situation involving our principal occurred last week that requires our attention. Please be assured that the VCS Board of Directors has the best interest of the school and our students, teachers, and families as our first priority. This issue will be addressed formally at our regularly scheduled meeting tomorrow night. We always welcome the attendance and comments of our teachers and parents, but please be aware that all personnel matters must be discussed by the Board on a confidential closed session basis. We will continue to keep you informed.
Additionally, please take note of the new traffic pattern that will begin being used tomorrow for afternoon pick up. Starting Tuesday it will be used for morning drop off and afternoon pickup. In an effort to alleviate traffic congestion on Ross Mill Rd, we are opening a new gravel path that will accommodate more cars. You will enter as usual, but rather than following the paved drive at the back of the building, you will continue straight onto the gravel extension, which will end at the drop-off/pick-up lanes. School representatives will be directing traffic during both drop-off and pick-up to be sure the new pattern runs smoothly.
Thank you for your patience and your continued dedication to VCS. We are proud to serve such a wonderful school, and we are grateful for your support.
