Security at Vance Charter School
In an attempt to keep our school a safe learning environment for all students, staff and families, we have stepped up security measures, while keeping faculty and families abreast of updated safety procedures.
The back doors remain closed and locked at all times unless supervised by staff members during recess and dismissal periods. The front entrance glass doors are locked at 8:10 and monitored with Security Personnel throughout school hours. All visitors must register with the IDENT-A-KID security system, and ID may be required for entry if posted guardians are not familiar with your presence. All outside doors are fitted with "panic bars" so that immediate exit is possible at any time. In case of emergency, the fire department also has a key to the front entry doors.
As administrators at Vance Charter, we appreciate your patience while growing used to the new school entry process. We truly believe that a bit of brief entry inconvenience could never be placed above the safety of our children.
