Special Called Meeting

of the

Vance Charter School Board of Directors

A special called meeting of the Board of Directors of Vance Charter School was held at 7:00 p.m. on August 28, 2006 in the middle school cafeteria. The purpose of the meeting was to conduct board training and to discuss personnel and legal matters. The following members of the Board were present:

Cydne Sharpe, Chairman Mark Dubinski

Melissa Lemmond, Vice Chairman Jonathan O’Geary

Tom Betts, Treasurer Kelly Mosley

Gina Harris, Secretary Mike Johnson

Brian Daniels Onnie Gore

Harrison Ford

Absent:

Peggy Mason

Also Present:

Dr. John Von Rohr and Donna Mann

A meeting was held for the purpose of board training which was presented by Jean Kruft, a consultant for the Office of Charter Schools.

Mrs. Kruft’s presentation included guidelines and suggestions regarding the role of a Charter School Board of Directors.

At the conclusion of the training and after Ms. Kruft had left, Melissa Lemmond made a motion to go into closed to discuss personnel and legal matters. Onnie seconded the motion and the motion passed.

Upon returning to open session at 9:15 there was nothing to report. Melissa made a motion to adjourn at 9:15. The motion passed.
